Exploring Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor presents players with numerous secret challenges, including hidden extra-dimensional combat trials known as Force Tears. One of the most easily missed trials is located right near the game's starting area at the Gorge Crash Site. Unlocking and completing this specific challenge requires specific progression milestones and a keen eye for environmental interaction.
Finding the Gorge Crash Site Force Tear Location
To locate this hidden Force Tear, fast travel to the Gorge Crash Site Meditation Point on Koboh. Positioned directly next to the meditation spot is a large elevator platform that leads up to higher cliffs. Stepping onto the elevator sends it upward, revealing a hidden hatch door tucked away in the elevator shaft below.
Before you can open this lower hatch, you must unlock the Force Lift and Force Slam abilities during the main storyline. Once you have acquired these powers, send the lift upward, jump off immediately, and target the metal door underneath. Using Force Lift opens the floor section, allowing Cal to drop into a dark lower chamber containing the Force Tear.
Overcoming the Fractured Burden Challenge
Entering this rift initiates the Fractured Burden combat challenge, which pits players against three massive legendary creatures simultaneously. You will face a Mire Terror, a Gorocco Matriarch, and a Vile Bilemaw in a compact arena. Managing space and keeping all three creatures within your field of view is essential to avoiding devastating surprise attacks.
The most effective strategy for this battle involves keeping your distance and forcing the beasts to damage each other. Using confusion skills or strategic dodging can cause the creature attacks to overlap and weaken one another. Focusing down the agile Gorocco Matriarch first usually makes the remaining heavy targets much easier to manage.
Rewards and Completion Benefits
Conquering the Fractured Burden challenge awards Cal a full Skill Point to invest in his stance or Force skill trees. Completing this trial also counts toward total planet completion on Koboh, helping trophy hunters achieve 100 percent map progress. Taking the time to return to early game areas with late-game powers ensures you do not miss out on these powerful character upgrades.
